Forums and discussion on MyGround are for patients, health professionals, families, and loved ones who stand on the Ground of each community.
Registration is required to participate. Reading messages may depend on options selected by those who post and may be restricted to members of the community. Forums are discussion lists and messages are posted immediately. MyGround reserves the right to delete inappropriate discussions at its discretion.
Posters are solely responsible for the information they disseminate.

Compliance with laws and regulations
All members must comply with the laws of their own country, particularly in avoiding dissemination of illegal content (defamation, insults, incitement to suicide, etc.), respecting the privacy of members and other health professionals as well as copyright and image laws.
Respect for others
It is recommended that all members be polite in exchanges and display a high level of mutual respects for one another. Registering under various pseudonyms is not allowed.
MyGround members must:
- Respect the opinions, beliefs, and differences of other members
- Avoid undermining the morale of patients
- Not spread rumors or content that may harm or endanger the health and safety of others
Health professionals must indicate their professional status when they distribute medical information.
Informative and non-medical advice
Any message on the forum is for information purposes only and may in no circumstances be regarded as medical advice.
Any information relating to a therapy or diagnosis, even if it comes from 'experts' of their Ground, must be received with caution. Only a physician is authorized to confirm its validity. It must not, under any circumstances, delay or replace the advice of the treating physician.
Avoid diagnostic conversations
The information posted by patients is often partial or covers one aspect of their illness. Their history is not always clear. As a rule, do not generalize from personal experience. Members should indicate the information they share is about their own Ground and may NOT be the same for others. Members should NOT offer diagnoses to other members Ground.
Do not recommend treatments
Treatments should be provided individually by a doctor and depend on each case. The treatment choices for other patients must be respected. Never claim a specific treatment is the only one effective for a disease, although it may be true for one individual.
It is advisable to be careful about products that have not been evaluated for a disease being discussed in this online community.
No form of advertising messages
No form of advertising is allowed.
Any proposal for services is prohibited.
Before posting a message, every member should be aware that posting might share confidential information to be linked to personal identifiers (the user name and profile information a member chooses to provide).
It is important to be careful when disseminating personal information (name, phone, etc.) or privacy of friends and relatives, especially children.
